Welcome To WTA
2008 promises to be another exciting year for WTA. We're especially pleased to introduce the new PLUM Line, which offers service every 15 minutes on Lakeway Drive to Woburn Street. We've also extended the GOLD Line to continue 15-minute frequency all the way to Barkley Village, Sunset Square, Bellis Fair Mall and Whatcom Community College/Cordata Station. tThese improvements to our "high frequency network" of GO Lines makes it much more convenient to travel to and from major destinations throughout Bellingham.
In addition to our expansion of service, this year we also plan to introduce "Cordata Station", our new North Bellingham Transfer Center. Cordata Station will serve as the hub where routes fromBellingham, Ferndale, Lynden, and Blaine and communties from the east county come together. However, our new Cordata Station will also offer our passengers a heated, lighted, and sheltered concourse, public restrooms, an information booth, covered bicycle parking, and a park & ride facility. The station, located on Cordata Parkway at Short Street, is currently under construction. We hope to have it completed by fall 2008.
If you have questions about these or any upcoming projects, or if you have comments about our services, we'd love to hear from you. Please call us at 360-715-4500 or email us at comment@ridewta.com.
We appreciate you riding with us, and we look forward to serving you.
Sincerely,
Richard G. Walsh
